easy soya chunks curry recipe


2 cups soya chunks

for masala paste

2 tsp oil

1 medium sized onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic1 inch ginger

2 tomatoes, finely chopped

8 to 10 whole cashews

other ingredients:

3 tsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 bay leaf

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 inch cinnamon stick

1 medium sized onion, finely chopped

salt to taste

1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder or any chilli powder according to colour and spice.

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 cup curd fresh

1 cup water

1 tsp kasuri methi crushed

¼ tsp garam masala powder


soya chunks cooking recipe:

firstly, boil soya chunks for 8 minutes and transfer to a bowl of cold water.allow to rest for 10 minutes and squeeze completely.

masala paste recipe:

heat a large kadai and add oil and saute onion, ginger and garlic for 5-7 min and also add tomatoes, cashews and saute well. After it cools grind to smooth paste and keep aside.

In the same kadai heat oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and saute.then add finely chopped onions and saute.also add chilli powder and turmeric and saute for 5 add prepared onion-tomato masala paste and saute.

Now add coriander powder and salt, add water and curd. mix well and let is cook for 5 min.

now add squeezed soya and cover the kadai. simmer for 10 minutes and cook well. Taste a little for spice salt and gravy if anything required you can vadd at this stage.

later add crushed kasuri methi and garam masala and bmix well and serve.
