It was 12 already and Kavita, who was pregnant a second time and in her 5th month now was super hungry and feeling weak in her knees...also giddy... just when she had served herself some poha, today's breakfast as ordered by Amit (hubby) and which she didn't feel like eating, her maid's sister had rung the doorbell and said that today she has come instead of her sister and will leave early so if she wants her work done it has to be now..

She had chosen to get her work done over breakfast as later her 3 year old twin daughters, Shreya and Riya would get up and create lots of fuss and mess... moresoover she will have to do all this work over and above tonnes of work which she already does..

Maid gone and just when she had picked up her now cold poha plate to eat, Shreya and Riya had woken up..it had been 2 hours since then of cuddles... peeing.. trying to poop.. messing up things and playing with the milk bottles and in all this Kavita had completely forgotten her breakfast.

The girls had even after struggle not taken enough milk, so kavita was now struggling to make Shreya and Riya, finish their breakfast...her one cup morning tea 2 biscuits were making her sustain....she also wanted to use the loo..but wanted to do it in peace which was only possible when Shreya and Riya had eaten, completed their susu..potty which they always did after breakfast and had got freshened up..and would be busy playing!!

Her hands were busy in making the kids eat but her mind was still busy recollecting and analyzing the conversation which her MIL and SIL (mother to a 2 year old son) were having yesterday when they were at her place last evening..she remembered how her SIL had sighed and said, "It's too difficult to raise even 1 child today na maa" pointing towards her son Aaryan, who had peed near the sofa..and her MIL had loving admonished her and said, "Hmm, but don't say that dear...see I have raised 5 kids..yes times have changed..you must thank God that you are blessed with a son".. appreciate it..

She had given Kavita a look meaning, " If like my daughter,; only you had given birth to a son first time, or even if one of your twins was a son, we would have never forced you for a second one"..

Kavita had stopped crying on such comments now as she was habitual of all this..married to a husband who in 5 years had just believed in ordering her for things and had never taken her side ..being with a typical MIL and now a SIL who by giving birth to a son had become a second MIL to her....had made her give up all expectations of a life which had true love, happiness etc....and now pregnant with a third child..her thoughts were usually centred on, "what was left in her to give"...she just wanted it to be a son now..

Kavitas deep thoughts were broken by a phone call from Amit that he would be going on a 2 day tour..and will leave at night so he wanted her to keep his bags packed..

2 minutes of not looking at the girls and they had upturned the bowl still half filled with milk and Chocos...

A fit of fury had engulfed Kavita, who was now a hangry mom and she had for the first time slapped her daughter's..they had first stared at her in disbelief and we're now crying inconsolably..

She had pulled them both towards her, embraced them..kissed them and had wiped off their tears.. Kavita had now herself started crying and had closed her eyes and was muttering..sorry beta.. I am a very bad mumma na..but I love you both a lot... I am bad at everything..

Just then she felt little hands wiping her tears off and babbling...Kya hua mumma.. ro kyon rae ho..pup ho jaao..

Her girls were smiling at her and a look into their innocent eyes had told her that; they had forgiven her and things between them were as normal as they were a few minutes back..she had hugged them as tight as she could and planted a hundred kisses on their cheeks.. muttering.. I will never raise my hand again on you..you are my angels!!..

I don't know if I have done Justice to the topic but this is what I could think of a hangry Momma...who in the end always becomes loving!!

Please give your comments!!

Very nice!!!!!!

Super story!!!

Thanks so much everyone..

Left me in tears☺️😚😙

Thanks everyone.. motherhood sometimes comes close to a mom being hurtful to her kids...by words or otherwise..her circumstances make her a hangry mom..else there is probably no one in the world who can love her kids more than herself..
