Bel ka sharbat
Bel or Bael which is also known as Golden or wooden apple in some regions is summer fruit with amazing benefits.
It purifies blood, treats digestive disorders, treats constipation and even helps maintain sugar levels for diabetic patients.
My mom makes it in summers. Even when it's taste is not so good we consume it for health benefits. We don't even add sugar to it as fruit is sweet sometimes. One thing we need to remember is that this juice should be consumed for just 1-2 days in continuation. Then give a Gap of a week and again take.
Ingredients (for 4 glasses)
1 ripe bel fruit
Sugar to taste
1. The shell of this fruit is hard so break it carefully and take out it's pulp with seeds in a bowl.
2. Add about 2-3 glasses water to it. Pulp will be soft.
3. With clean hands or blender, crush the pulp and seeds well. The seive it well to take out as much juice as possible.
The juice is ready to drink. One can add salt, sugar, lemon juice etc to make it tasty.
