Double decker veg sandwich!!
Sandwiches make a wholesome and healthy breakfast option. They are easy to make and one can try making them in many ways.. I had boiled potatoes and green chatni with me so made this double decker sandwich..even one is enough!!
Ingredients (for 1 sandwich)
3 slices of bread (whole wheat bread can be used, has to be thick slices with crust)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp mint and corriander green chutney
3-4 roundels of boiled potatoes
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp red chilli sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 cheese slice (optional)
Veggies cut in roundels (onion, tomato, cucumber, green olives, capsicum, cabbage etc)
Salt, peeper and chilli flakes to taste
1 tsp oregano or mixed herbs
1. Place one slice of bread on a plate and lightly butter it. Apply green chutney on it generously and place the potato roundels. Now sprinkle salt and pepper and drizzle a bit of tomato ketchup.
2. Butter the slice no 2 and put it upside down on the first slice with potatoes. Now apply mayonnaise on the top of this slice and apply red chilli sauce and tomato ketchup. Arrange all veggies and sprinkle salt, pepper, chilli flakes and oregano.
3. Add a cheese slice and cover this with slice no 3. You can butter it or even avoid that.
I have made this sandwich on a non stick tawa till it became crispy but one can make it in a sandwich maker if they find it tough to flip it..
Enjoy this garma garam with a dip of your choice!!..mustard sauce or honey mustard dip goes well with this..
