Thank you Babychakra for the Takeover.
For those who don't know me, heylo I'm Payal. I'm a radiologist- I specialised in Radio-diagnosis after my MBBS.
I have a twin and an elder sister- all in the healthcare field.
After having fought our entire childhood, we are now 'fevicol ka mazboot jod’.
I have a supportive hubby and two kids- a daughter and a son, 5 and 2 respectively. I'm indebted to my parents to give us an open-minded supportive environment at home.
I'm a Mumbaikar!
So to start off, it might be surprising that my thinking on almost everything is a mix of old and new. I'm proud of our culture and customs, and believe they must be passed on. It would be a shame to not learn from our history and previous generations.
I have a religious leaning. I do puja-aarti and seva daily, fast on special occasions etc. I'm not very superstitious, but I did tie black threads and apply kajal dots for the kids. I don't like to question other people's religious thoughts,as it's a matter of belief and faith.
On the other side, I was a party animal, of course until I had kids!
I have a great group of friends since my MBBS days, who shared my love for late night outings! Mumbai's rocking nightlife, clubs, friends to shake a leg with!
Doctors do have a fun side ya.
I had an arranged marriage- we decided to get married by meeting each other only thrice in a row! The period between the engagement and marriage is supposed to be the best for a couple, but it was nightmarish for me as I was living in a hostel room and was expected to study 12-14 hours a day, not going for lunches and dinner dates with my fiancee.
Though I try to multitask, my time management skills are not great.
I claim to do things best at the last minute!
I'm bad at finance stuff, I've never been inclined to learn about money matters. This is something I plan to change soon!
I don't like to loiter around in shops, and loose patience quickly while shopping and tell my hubby let's go home😁
Lastly, I detest people who judge and discriminate based on socio-economic levels. Humility, honesty, kindness are deal makers.
Let me know if I broke any stereotypical image you had of me after reading this!!
Lots of love ❤️
