11th March 2019: (Part 1) 👣💕

Just another checkup, doctor called me up to review my recent Ultrasound reports. I was 35 weeks 1 day along. She told me that I had low lying placenta at 18 weeks pregnant which was covering the o.s but it could move up by itself and we could try for a normal delivery. But that didn't happen until 35 weeks too. She looked worried and told me clearly "the only option is C-section here, you could have excessive bleeding and that would be really difficult to manage, even dangerous scenario"

We agreed to her. She gave us 15th March date so that I could take lung maturity injections for my baby and also get prepared mentally. I was happy that we knew the condition before and would now not have to face any sudden emergency. I went home, I was excited as I was just thinking how my baby would be and I would meet her soon. We decorated her crib, we also kept all stuff ready and thought that we would pack the hospital bag the next morning.

The excitement didn't let us both sleep until 2am. We live alone , no one else was with us. But I informed my mom, and she was coming the next morning.

. 12th March, 5 am : I was in deep sleep and suddenly I felt that something turned in my stomach, I felt a gush of a liquid and thought my water broke. As we rushed to turn on the light, it was a frightful sight. Within the next 20 seconds, I was bleeding like a water tap, it wouldn't stop. I told my husband "I am going to die" my placenta burst. He was even more shaken than me, we did not know this would happen, we were hoping we don't face and now we were there standing clueless. I lost approx 3 units blood at home itself, started feeling dizzy. I saw my husband, he was all in sweat and mind you, it was not at all hot
