13 weeks 5 days pregnancy.in double marker test trisomy 21 is screen positive.doctor is telling for amniocentesis test further .if amniocentesis result is normal is it cent percent right that the baby will not be a handicapped mentally or physically? amniocentesis is basically for assesing genetic problem.can it detect other problem like deaf and dumb or blindness?or these things cannot be detected before birth?

By amniocentesis they will do the fetal karyotyping and only chromosomal problem can be detected .<br>
As you said other problems may not be detected.
