5 GO-TO Indian food that helped me kick-start and maintain my breastmilk levels.

So i delivered and there was no trace of milk until the 15th day of my baby's coming to this world!
We were stressed out and completely disheartened. I was using all the galactagogues prescribed to me including the several food items which according to our wise-old generation ladies promised breastmilk production and yes out of many that i tried and tried some gave me immense gas while some generated too much heat in turn resulting into heat-boils and rashes.

So here are the 5 super foods that helped me lactate and keep my milk production on.
1. Jeera- This super food whether in raw form or included in any of the dishes will help you immensely. There are several ways to have it one of which is that You can have 1 spoon with or without sugar, mins before every feed.
2. Kalonjee- mangraila as we call it in our native is a good aid too. You can make pwder of the same, sprinkle on your regular food and have it with meals.
3. Garlic- this food is no secret to any indian for it's curative properties. And nonetheless is very helpful for lactating moms and is used in almost many of the food items cooked in indian kitchens. Just that too much of it can change the taste of your breastmilk.
4. Masoor daal- while all daals are a good deal.This daal which some told me will give me serious gas while others recommended i still have it, worked for me too good. Infact having 1 bowl morning and evening helped me start lactating in the first place.
5. Laapsee/daliya- broken wheat or daliya as famously known can be had with milk or cooked deliciously into a tasty khichdee like meal helps tremendously to lactating mothers.

🤗While there were so many suggestions on foods promising breastmilk i found these easy to cook. I could get good benefits in little efforts.
PS: over and above everything a lactating mother must eat to her fill at all times and keep hydrating herself more than often. Remember including fluids in good quantity is one must have aid to boost breastmilk .

Hi nilo, maine sab try kiya jeera and mangraila ka halwa, masoor daal , kachcha papaya,lapsi,gond ke ladoo, satawar churn aur homeopathic se ayurvedic tak but no result😥
