Even in these current times, trace amounts of garlic are put in medicines to improve their healing effect. It contains a compound called allicin which has been known for its antibacterial properties.

Being the true nectar of life, water contains a multitude of essential nutrients that the human body absorbs. And since during cold you tend to have a fluid loss, it is important that you keep up the supply.

Another tried and tested method that helps ease the throat and also provides a temperature balance to the entire body is gargling. When you gargle with hot water, you help relax the muscles in your throat while also helping the mucus go down to the stomach. And by adding a pinch of salt to the water, you can escalate the healing almost 3 fold.

Suffering from cold is basically your body’s mechanism of dealing with the sudden change in outside temperature and balancing it out. By taking steam and warm baths you can help the body gradually ease into the temperature difference. This will definitely ease your little one’s nose and illness.
