A bitter truth about Society!!
Yesterday I was watching Kaun banega crorepati and they had this special episode with a social worker Sunitha ji who is working for women who are forced into prostitution. When I was hearing about her experiences l had tears in my eyes, I was shooked. She had rescued girls as young as 3.5yrs old. Imagine the plead of that little girl who doesn't even know what is she into. Who are these men who indulge in such henious, inhuman acts? Are they really humans? Infact, in some cases women are enemy of women, women have forced other women into prostitution. All the prostitutes she has rescued were helpless - financially, personally, mentally.
Some facts which she revealed was in 65% of cases of kidnapping or fraud for putting girls into prostitution are done by some known family member or neighbour or someone close to family. Being a mother myself I see my child in every other child. Recently heard a 9th month old being raped, how bad our society is shaping into? She herself was raped by 8 men at the age of 15 but she didn't let herself be a victim and stay aloof all her life instead she rose up and decide to help those are are raped everyday, each minute of their life - Prostitutes
What we can do as a society?
1) Don't be mute. If something bad is happening around you, inform the police or NGO who could help.
2) Stay alert, don't let yourself be a prey for animals ( inhuman ppl).
3) Cyber sex trafficking is a reality, teach your daughters and sons about internet safety, talk to them about today's reality.
4) Teach your son to respect women, raise them to be a gentleman.
5) As a parent we should keep our eyes and ears open all the time. Teenage is a crucial phase in every child life where it is very important to let our son and daughters know what is right and what is wrong?
To have a better future for our kids we have to work together as a society. If we want our kids to be safe, we have to work towards it very hard. We have to be more alert, give our children the right kind of education. Children learn from their elders as we will reap what we sow. Be a good example for your children.
I hope to see a safe world for our children and I am sure that day will come!! #mangomom
