A child who has a happy mother benefits by having a positive environment and knowing that it’s actually possible to be happy.
When a mom does what she needs to do to find happiness, it isn’t selfish at all, it is ultimately showing the child an example of how to make a happy life.
Do you fall into the trap of mom guilt? Or should I be asking who does fall into that trap??
But there doesn’t need to be a guilt around putting your happiness as a priority. In fact it can be a very selfless act instead of selfish. Children learn from observation. And what greater lesson in life is there than observing a parent choose happiness in their life?
