When your postpartum bleeding stops, it’s usually a sign that the healing is finished. Usually your bleeding will change from heavy and red/brown to lighter and pink then a whiter, creamier discharge. Once it stops, if you have no other medical issues, you’re safe to resume sex as well as tampons and menstrual cups if needed.
