Hi laxmi this is a myth! I never covered my head. The dr only insisted to use AC in the room in july as it was humid. I came home wearing a maternity dress :) so pls do according to the weather outside!

Don't use fan put Ac on regulated temperature. Actually temp inside womb is high and there should not be a drastic change in temperature that's why people do all these things. Not woollen clothes though. It will be harsh on babies skin. And as many layers u will wear comfortably just one extra layer of cloth for the baby. Don't put baby into pile of clothes.

Dress your baby as per the current weather situation. Just ensure that the baby is comfortable. Our body is usually has less immune post pregnancy. Hence the old age methods to prevent mothers from catching cold and falling sick. You need not strictly follow all those. But just take enough care to avoid getting ill.

Hi.. these days babies are born in ac hospitals and doctors also advise ac instead of fan. Please do not torture yourself these are all myth. My baby and I stay in ac the whole day since its hot n humid. 1 night i had wrapped her put a blanket on her. Next day she got fever. My doc said plz keep her in lighg clothes.
