all of my family members have brown lips,,mine upper lip is too dark and lower one is too pink,which looks odd...some say its carried over in family and some say its due to retaining of milk on lips after feeds,which my mom has neglected to wipe cleanly

my husband too has lil dark lips,,my question is ,,is dark lips carry to my kid also,,or it ll be clean if i wipe his lips regularly after feeds,.?
