All this while ever since I had baby number two, I have been reading a lot about how learning begins at an early age rather from the tummy itself 🙄And it's great that we as parents can give our child the best beginning just by being aware. I decided to keep it simple with this basic diy at home top 11 activities for 0 to 3 month olds 🎀

1. Begin by introducing your child to touch. The feel of a parent or caregiver and their warm embrace can be comforting for a good learning experience.
2. Enhance the touch action by making him feel different textures and materials like soft cotton, woollen blanket, loofah, indentations on a golf ball and many more
3. Visual stimulation can be introduced by hanging colourful toys above baby’s crib also enhancing far vision.
4. Another game to stimulate vision in holding a toy at one ear, bringing it up while making a sound and sliding it over upto the other ear in front of the baby's eyes to enhance tracking eye movement.
5. Use age appropriate rattles to help baby understand grip action and begin sensory motivation while getting introduced to sounds and the idea that the sound was made by him.
6. Touch and tickle the baby while bringing your smiling face close thus introducing the child to the concept of smiling and laughing.
7. Read to the baby. It's never too early. Take help of an older sibling. Babies learn best from kids.
8. By the third month it's time for tummy play. One the child will be able to start holding his head up and two it's great to avoid colic in babies.
10. Play, talk and sing to the baby to help enhance baby’s listening skills.
11. Show the baby colourful family photographs introducing him to familiar faces early on this enabling face recognition.
12. What I love the most is using a play gym. It is multifunctional and promotes self awareness. It's great for overall cognitive development and to strengthen sensory and motor skills. This can be continued into months 3 to 6 for enhanced development with minor activity variations.

More on this as I continue onto my next article specifically for 3 months olds which is my baby's current age. Do follow me on baby chakra #bbccreatorsclub #newparent #month0 #month1 #month2 #month3 #activity #childdevelopment
