Ingredients :
Wheat flour – 100 gms
Apple – 1 (medium sized )
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Ghee – ½ teaspoon
Water – 50 ml (can substitute with milk if you like)
Date puree can be used for sweetening however do not feed sugar / honey to babies below 12 months
Preparation :
Sift wheat flour .Add oil and water and mix, ensuring no lumps.
Add the grated apple to the flour mixture. Give the pancake batter one more mix.
Heat a griddle or dosa tava on medium flame. When hot enough, grease it with ghee or butter.
Pour a ladle of the batter onto the pan. Don't swirl it around as for a dosa.
You can make small shapes like circles or triangles so that it will be easy for the baby to hold and eat.
Cover the pancakes with a lid and cook for 1 minute on a low flame. This helps the grated apple to cook well and blend with the batter.
When bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake, flip it over and cook the other side for a minute.
Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby
Disclaimer :
1. Please consult your doctor before introducing salt/sugar to your baby
2. We recommend avoiding sugar/salt until 1 year
