question
#askneha hello Dr, I am 30 weeks pregnant. Till now I never had vomiting but from last week I vomit every day in evening. Suffering from acidity . Is the vomit due to acidity ?? Also my baby bump was increasing till 6th month. But now I feel that it has stopped growing ? Why can it be so. According to 28th week scan baby weight and growth are normal.

Hello Monica. Vomiting should typically subside after the 3rd month. The problem you have is acidity. So my advice is this:
1. Eat small meals every 4 hours. The longer the gap, the more you tend to eat, the worse the acidity
2. Drink cool water throughout. Have it in sips.
3. Growth of the baby stabilizes after 28 weeks so the rate of development slows down.
4. In what way do you take your iron supplement? Never take it on empty stomach because it causes acidity and vomiting.
5. Go in for Homeopathy. It is safe and has no side effects. It will effectively relieve the acidity.

vommiting is very common during pregnancy.
some experience morning sickness and some evening sickness. For some its in the first trimester and others the third trimester. If u notice any particular food that is causing this you should try to avoid it. And also if you notice blood in the process you should talk to your Gynaec immediately.
Acidity is also a very common discomfort as your organs shift for the growing uterus and pushes the stomach which causes acidity and you will have to live with it till your pregnancy completes. Post that you will be fine don't worry.
About the bump don't worry too much cause your baby is fine as per your scans, not everyone has a big bumps bur that doesn't mean the baby is not growing :)
Please relax and enjoy your pregnancy and don't worry unless you have to :)
