"Barley Carrot Porridge

Ingredients :
Homemade Barley Cereal/ Whole Barley* - 2 tbsp
Water - As required
Carrot - 1 medium sized pureed
Ghee - 1 Tsp
Dates - 2 pureed

Preparation :
1. Pressure cook the carrots in medium flame for one whistle.
3. Transfer the cooked carrots along with date puree to a blender.
4. Grind it into a smooth paste. Set aside.
5. Cook the barley powder in low flame for 10 to 12 minutes .Keep stirring while cooking.
7. Add ground carrot puree. Give a quick stir. Then add 1 tsp of ghee.
8. Cook it further for 1-2 minutes. Switch off the flame once done.
9. Let the porridge cool down and feed your baby with a baby spoon.

Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby
