1. A book and related toys which you can show while you read ( I used 'My friends' by Taro Gami and used some of her bath toys)

While you read the story out loud try to show the animals mentioned in the book (toy or a picture will do ). Do this repetitively and ask your little one to repeat and point out the animal. .
