During the first 5 years, height and weight are not the only developmental milestones parents and other family members including grandparents should track! How a child speaks, plays, acts, and learns are equally important.
Here are some important milestones to look for:

✅smiles and coos by 3 months
✅babbling by 6 months
✅pointing out things in the environment and responds to their name by 12 months
✅ use at least 25 words by 18 months
✅follow 1-2 step directions, talk during pretend play, and have a vocabulary of at least 75 words by 2 years
✅use 4-5 words in a sentence by 3 years
