Independence to me means:
1) letting me be me without being judged for the decisions I make

2) being able to live my life on my own terms without any social inhibitions.

3) To feel carefree and have a trust worthy environment where the safety of my gender is not a concern but a necessity.

4) where my achievements are also rejoiced just like it would have for any male member in my clan.

While writing this post I realised that as a country we are definitely free and taking strong decisions for the safety of our nation but when it comes to the women or children of this country I am not overjoyed.

It scares me knowing that even though we speak about women empowerment but is our women really empowered.
High time we have depended or rather BELIEVED on the men of our society to do something for us. It's time to take the reign in our hands and break the chains on our own.
Only then true INDEPENDENCE would be achieved.
