When pregnant, especially first time mom's we feel like now we can eat anything, binge eat our favorite food and put on weight and it's allowed and somehow being preggos makes it ok?!
If you feel the same way read on😉
➖You only need 100-150 calories more in your first and 2nd trimester which is equal to a slice of toasted bread without any topping or 2 biscuits.
➖You need 300 calories in your third trimester because that's when your baby actually starts to gain weight to prepare for birth which is equal to a light snack
➖Eating too much can lead to unnecessary weight gain which will only be difficult to shed post delivery
➖Your baby don't eat what you eat but they will rather eat the nutrients in your food. So it's important to eat the correct type of diet. Junk food and cold drinks are the worse food you can give to your unborn child.
➖Any form of physical activity will be helpful in preparing for birth. Walking is considered safest and best form of physical activity.
So what should a pregnant lady eat. Here are some suggestions I followed and following in my second time and they do work.
➖Eat lots of fruits, they have fibre, fat, sugar and helps with nausea in starting months plus helps you stay away from constipation.(at least 2-3 servings a day)
➖Add more protein in your diet. In form of salad or a hummus dip with crackers. Or eat lots of rajma, daal, chole.
➖Eat seasonal veggies.
➖Reduce sugar intake wherever you can.
➖Eat food on time
➖Eat ghee but in reasonable amount. Excess will stay with your body.
➖Avoid junk food. That means all kind of foreign foods like pizza burgers and also Indian junk food mainly chaat. Eating outside shod be minimal. That's all. I am not an expert but these are a few tips for my fellow pregnant mom's Just think that the good that you eat your baby receives nutrients from that only so eat well, stay fit and have a happy 9 months.

@5fedec01cccb6d0014097596 I am doing fine. Just hanging in there. My due date is Aug end. These last few weeks are really tough as a second time mom as I don't think you can chill so much😜
