Before Detachment comes Attachement, a simple mantra to raise independent kids especially for parents who have kids between 0 to 5 years of age

We believe independence comes when kids are kept away from parents in terms of being on play dates, or in preschool, or in daycare, in group activites, or alone. But this is not how independence kids are born. One cannot teach or force the child to be independent unless they are ready!!

independence is a milestone that is built on foundation of security that dependency brings .. without this the foundation would be weak or superficial. No young chuld can truly be independent, there will always be some amount of dependency however it is important to ensure we offer an environment that allows dependency and independence both to strive simultaneously when they are ready !!
