Before raag born, I started dreaming about him : What would he look like?
What personalities would he have?
What talents would he have?
Who would he grow up to be?
These are just a few of the things I wish for him:
✍️ First wish for my Raag is that he will have a strong lifelong faith that will be the foundation for his lives. I want them to know what he believe and why, and to look to faith to make life’s decisions. I hope he will turn to God in all of life’s seasons — whether good or bad.
✍️Instead of always looking for what he can take, I wish for my raag to be givers. I hope he will be generous with his time, resources, and talents, and look for ways to serve and help those in need. Not only do I hope he will be willing to give, but that he should be enthusiastic about giving.
✍️Anyone with a toddler or preschooler knows the questions never stop. And of course, every answer is followed up with, “Why?” leading to more explanations. I wish my raag will continue to ask questions specially to his mom @noops, and that his quest for knowledge will always continue. I hope he will learn something new every day for the rest of his lives.
✍️As his mom is Bharatnatyam Vishaarad, I love to see him dance. I want he should be passionate about dance like If there is music anywhere, he should start dance.
✍️I wholeheartedly wish for my raag to find his passion. It may be art, music, writing, dance, science, sports, or anything, but I want him to find something that brings him joy, something he love, and something he can work hard doing it.

✍️I tell my raag that I am always proud of them when he do his best. More than focusing just the outcome, I hope they focus on working hard at whatever they do. As he grow up, I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect him to strive for excellence and their personal best. I hope he will build a strong work ethic that can help him throughout their lives.

✍️There are plenty of opportunities to go along with the crowd and to follow along with whatever is popular, even when it’s not right. I wish for my raag to choose the right thing, even if it’s hard. I hope he will stand up for his convictions, resist peer pressure, and make good decisions, even if it means standing alone sometimes.
✍️Despite my wishes, hopes, and dreams for my raag, I know raag is special and unique individual who have a purpose for his lives.
My wish is that raag embrace their skills and talents instead of comparing themselves to others. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of comparison. I hope he will avoid it.
At last ! Yes, I want my raag to be healthy, happy, intelligent, talented, attractive, successful, and all the wonderful things.
I want him to realize every ounce of potential he have and lead amazing lives. But, ultimately my job as a Daddy is to instill values in him that will guide them as he find his own path.
I can offer guidance and support, but I can’t do it for him— I can only equip him to do things for himselves.

I hope he will set an example that will spread throughout all he do, affect others, inspire others, and impact their world.
