Being a Mom -- Experiences from week 2

The only thing that your overestimate is your own mind. I have always been an outright creative soul. Right from academics to add-ons,; my mind never was at rest ever. The time last year when my bro in law got our Labrador back home, it was well expected that I'd do his naamkaran!!; And since then to now, tables turned and we got our baby home and it was again well expected of me to have already thought of a name.; A nickname basically since the 'good' name thingy is an elaborate process that I'll write about when dealing with.
Over the past months, me and hubby have jotted atleast 100 names to call our naughty piece and yet none of them seemed to click once we actually held him.
Traditional to trendy--we made a directory but somehow I wasn't happy with any of them. They seemed so irrelevant.
Only suddenly yesterday, I had my and the baby's 'dhaman' or a bathing ceremony of sorts.; Yes we Punjabis eat and give cash around even for something like this!
And suddenly my dad in law's Bhuaji, whom I adore and she loves me big time, suggested, "Ae nu Siddak bulaya."
And bingo!; Without a hitch I was floored.; Somehow the name connected and it was such a soothing word that I felt our baby would live up to it.
Me for one, rarely says yes to what elders suggest unless absolutely sure but with Bhuaji naming our Siddak, I feel there is so much blessing.
Who would have thought I'd not name our child and will accept a casual suggestion with thissssss much happiness!?
