Besan Laddo
.
Ladoo is everyone fav sweet. This is one of my childhood sweet. Easy and tasty. We usually used to purchase outside. But I want to try healthy homemade foods this time for my little one.
.
Ingredients:

❤️ Ghee - ¼ cup
❤️ besan / gram flour- 1 cup
❤️ powdered sugar - ½ cup
❤️ cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
❤️ nutmeg powder - ¼ tsp
❤️ pistachio & almond - ¼ cup finely chopped
❤️ Saffron strands - 6-8 strands.
❤️ cashews broken- 10-12

.
Preparation:

❤️ take a thick heavy-bottomed nonstick pan heat ghee. Add besan once the ghee starts melting.
❤️ keep mixing in low flame for 30-40 min.
❤️ continue stirring to avoid burning and break the lumps in between.
❤️ The besan changes golden brown color and aromatic. Forms a silky shiny texture.
❤️ now switch off the flame and transfer to a bowl and allow it cool completely.
❤️ now add rest all ingredients: nuts, nutmeg, sugar, cardamom, saffron strands. Mix well with hands ( apply ghee to hands ) until everything combines.
❤️ take a small amount of laddoo mixture and make round laddoo’s and place cashew in the center. Enjoy homemade besan ladoo for Diwali.

If you try this recipe, don't forget to tag me. Have a happy and safe Diwali.
.
Storage : 10 days
Source : @minsitry
Serves: 15-20 laddo’s
Duration: 50-60 min.
.
Tips: add more ghee if the ghee looks insufficient. If the laddoo mixture becomes hard and dry after allowing to cool, heat for a min. It will come to the normal state. Don't add sugar when it's hot, laddoo mixture will turn liquidy.
