Best way to clean toys.

Babies usually explore things by touching and putting in mouth. Most of the toys will end up going in their mouth, so it is very important to clean and sanitize the toys regularly. This will help to keep germs away and falling sick.

Here is my quick guide to clean the toys.

1) Stuffed Toys - This kind of toys can attract lots of dust, so cleaning them regularly is must.
Put this toys in a pillow case and wash in the machine. I use a baby's laundry detergent powder as they are mild. This do not ruin the stuffed toys plus it clean well. Before giving the kid to play, do check if any buttons or eyes are loose, as baby can swallow it.

2) Plastic Toys - This are very easy to clean, but usually this are the dirtiest toys as baby put his toys more in mouth and there is saliva all over it. I wash this toys every alternate day. Just take some hot water, add dish soap and vinegar just keep it for few minutes. Use tooth brush, to clean if there is any stubborn stain.
They wash it with cold water. Then just place it on a towel and dry it below fan. Good to use again. If there are any battery operated toys, just wipe it with wet wipes.

3) Wooden Toys: - U can wipe this with Disinfecting Wipes or if you are on budget, just make a solution of dish soap, vinegar and hot water, dip a cloth and wipe the toys with it. Then again with plain hot water, just give another wipe and then dry it with a clean towel. I wash this toys every third day, as my baby love it.

4) Teethers & Pacifiers: - Cleaning this item after every use is very important. You can use a dish wash and water to clean it, use a tooth brush to clean every corner of it. After that wash it with normal water. Then sterilize it, put this item it hot boiling water for a 5 minutes, then dry and use it.

5) Play Mats: - Mats need to cleaned as well, as baby play on it every day. Just take equal amount of vinegar and warm water, take a clean cloth dip in solution and wipes it. Vinegar evaporates, so nothing to worry about the residue. Every day wipes it after use and let it dry, this way it will be clean and germ free. You can also vacuum it.

Always keep the toys in a box, instead on a shelves as this will attract less dust. Clean toys will make sure you baby will be away from germs. Always keep disinfecting wipes which are baby friendly handy whenever you are out, so you can just wipe the toy if it fell on the floor.

You should also clean her toys thoroughly in the following instances:
1) If the child is sick due to any reason, do clean his toys & play area every day.
2) If any toy which is not used much, before giving it to baby again wash it.
3) If he has a play date with other child and they used his toys.
4) If you carry the toys when you are out in park.
