Ingredients (for 2 sandwiches) 4 slices of sandwich bread with crust (wheat or multigrain bread can be used) For masala (2 boiled & mashed potatoes, 2 tsp oil, a pinch of hing, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, few Curry leaves, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp aamchoor or Chaat masala) 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp green chutney 1 tsp Sandwich or Chaat masala Sliced veggies (capsicum, cucumber, onion, beetroot, tomatoes) Tomato ketchup Corriander leaves Nylon sev for garnish Method 1. Heat oil in a pan. Add Hing, zeera, mustard seeds and curry leaves to crackle. Then add mashed potatoes, haldi powder, salt, pepper, dhaniya powder and aamchoor or Chaat masala. Mix everything well and make a filling. Keep this to cool. You may add green chillies, red chilli powder, garam masala, lemon juice if you want it more tangy and spicy. Also add fresh green corriander. 2. Take a bread slice and apply butter on it. Then apply mint and corriander chutney. Now spread the potato masala we have made and arrange all veggies as we do for a sandwich. Sprinkle some sandwich or Chaat masala on this. 3. Cover this with another slice which is also buttered and has chutney spread on it. Grill this in a sandwich maker with oil or butter. 4. Cut this sandwich. Spread a little butter, green chutney and tomato ketchup on top. Garnish with sev and serve hot and crispy. It's street food made at home.
