question
Bub is turning 5 months. He has never been a baby who sleeps through the night. And I did make my peace with it when he use to wake up twice till he was 3 months feed and go back to sleep.
He turned 3 months and for the last two months he has woken up every 1.5-2 hours. He wriggles and calls out to me (not crying just humming like a baby bird) for a feed. Dreamfeeds and goes back to sleep. If I don’t answer his wriggling and humming it escalates to crying and then he is fully awake and will not sleep till he is fed then playtime and rocked back to sleep in two hours. So every time he wriggles boobs are served.
I thought this was 4 month regression but it’s been 2.5 months of me patiently waiting for this phase to get over.
Now I am beginning to feel I am encouraging this behaviour. He also feeds decently through the day
Schedule
7am - Wake up feed
7-9 -awake and play
(1st nap)- 9-10 feed and rock to sleep
10-12 - awake and play
(2nd nap)- 12 to 130 - feed and rock to sleep
130 -330 awake and play
(3rd nap) - 330 to 350 - 20 mins catnap on the pram
4-530 - feed awake and play
(4th nap) - 530 to 6 - cause he will cry for it.. and I wake him up in 20-30 mins
6-7 - play feed
7-8 - bed time routine - massage, bath, rhymes to yoga music, book.. like a slow wind down to feed and rocked to sleep
8 - bed time (target)

Then he starts to get wake the following hours for dreamfeeding
11 pm, 1am, 3am, 5am then 7am and awake
I have turned into a 🧟‍♀️ zombie ...

He is not taking a Pacifier and also not taking. Bottle. Been trying for both as well.

Please suggest what can I do. I am not sure I am cut out or brave enough to do the cry it out sleep training method. I can’t even take baby to the vaccinations cause of tears and dad has to do it.

Parents who have tried Ferber please share some tips and is it something I can do?

Few babies have an erratic sleep schedule and they are mild sleepers. Hugs to you, try white noice method.
