We mothers wait for the d- day when our little bundle of joy is destined to come. My pregnancy was very smooth, I enjoyed every moment of it. I never suffered from morning sickness , no vomitings infact I was active for 9 months. I did travel a lot during all trimester because I love traveling. I took maternity leaves 15 days before my due date which was supposed to be 8th September. However I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes in early pregnancy but then It was also normal during second and third tests.
On 27th August I went for my last ultrasound. It was also fine my baby’s head was down and on 28th August my appointment with doctor was due and doctor said “prepare urself for normal delivery cz baby has reached lower part and we have to induce labour”.
I was happy and was prepared for all pains I had to go through ( as heard from all mothers around me).
Labour was induced on 29th August by giving almost 6 tablets during different intervals.
I was curiously waiting for the pain to end and my baby to come out but as per doctors I had to wait.
Suddenly water broke but my little champ was not ready to come out and after being in pain for almost 22 hours doctors called my husband and told him that “baby’s heartbeat is getting lower. He is in stress. We will have to operate on urgent basis because we cant wait.”
They took me to operation theater. I still remember it was looking exactly the same OT which we all see in movies😄
Doctors and nurses were preparing themselves for dissection of my stomach😄 with their masks on.😷 I was given little instructions regarding anesthesia.
Although I was completely numb from my lower body but I remember looking at the doctors and they were using knives. Pulling and then stiching( scary though) 😄
Then the most precious moment came when I heard him crying my eyes were filled with tears of happiness, love and feeling of motherhood Then nurse showed me and asked me “ sakshi tell who is it? Is it a boy? Or a girl?
