Pacifiers should be avoided as it is non nutritive suckling and this will reduce baby's time at the breast which in turn means lower milk production and consumption. Pacifiers will also interfere with jaw development.

vomiting can b avoided other way too.. burp your baby in between feed and after feed.. keep your baby in upright position for 15-20 mins.. and give some tummy time..

but y do you want to give pacifier?
pacifiers are unhealthy.. and if baby will b habituated it will b very difficult to wean off..
and yes in some cases baby may refuse breast milk as it can lead to nipple confusion..
