Constipation in kids,It’s Signs,causes and remedies.
Constipation is a common problem in children.if you ever noticed that baby is not able to poop properly or has difficulty in putting it means your baby is suffering from constipation.it is usually not a matter of concern. Healthy eating habits fluid intake and exercise can help to prevent from constipation.
Signs of constipation
Every baby has different bathroom movements. If baby does not pass motion daily it is not necessary that baby is constipated.
1. Abdominal pain
2. Hard dry stool that don’t pass easily.
3. Stains in your child's underwear.
4. Have less than three bowel movements in a week.
5. Seeing a little blood in poop.
6. Feeling full or bloated
Causes of constipation
1. Lack of fibre food
Fibre rich food helps to keep motions moving easily but lack of a fibre food cause constipation because many kids don't eat fruits vegetables and grains.
2. Lack of fluids
Water and other Fluids helps fibre to do its job but if it don’t take sufficient Fluids then it will constipate your child.
3. Stress
It also lead to coconstipation.According to research emotional upsets can affect your baby and it can cause constipation and diarrhea also.
4. Medication
Some medicines can also cause constipation. medicines that treat iron deficiency cause constipation in kids.
Tips to prevent constipation
1. Increase liquid and fibre intake
If you are baby is constipated then increase his fluid intake. Liquid intake helps stool move more easily.Small kids should have at least 3 to 4 glasses of water each day.try to give fibre rich food to your baby fibre can’t be digested so it helps to clean out intestine by moving bowels. Give apples, pears, beans, oatmeal, ripe bananas, whole grains oranges.
2. Exercise
Exercise ,physical activities also help child to pass motion easily. So involve your child in physical activities more it will help to get relief from constipation.
3. Develop a meal schedule
Try to develop a mail schedule in babies it will help to pass bobble movement easily give breakfast, lunch ,dinner at same time daily.
4. Make habits of going
Let your child sit on toilet for at least 10 minute at about same time each day. Take him for washroom regular when your baby is urge to go then take him and let him sit for at least 10 minutes.
