#Cookie Time Having a cooking anytime during the day is a blissful time
✨🧁✨Cookie platters, sweet treats, & holiday luncheons, it’s that time of year again, time for daily temptations, sneaky splurges, & feelings of guilt. Here are some strategies for helping you to maneuver this festive season - without completely losing all your gains, losses & shit. 🎄First & foremost, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Hungry? Sometimes you’re just thirsty. Drink plenty to avoid feelings of sluggishness.
🎄Keep a supply of healthy snacks in your desk drawer that can satisfy a craving - salty, sweet, savory (ie; protein bars, fruit cups, trail mix, nuts, greek yogurt w/ berries, homemade energy balls)
🎄Make a warm drink. Flavored coffee, holiday teas (ie: cranberry, pomegranate, cinnamon/honey) Hot cocoa (ie: almond milk w/ pure cocoa)
🎄Don’t lose sight of what’s important to you. Stop to think about how you want to feel & the actions you need to take to get you to where you want to be - think to yourself, is this cookie REALLY worth it?
🎄Don’t be so hard on yourself. If you indulge, it's not the end of the world. Dwelling on it won’t make you feel any better. Treat yourself & add more activity to your day (walk, stretch, take the stairs, park further away). Little changes can go a long way. & one last thing, the holidays are meant to be enjoyed. One holiday treat or gathering does not undo an entire year's worth of hard work - remember that.
