Currently, the world seems to be divided into two - mindful living and mindless spending.

With the advent of e commerce, it became super easy for somebody sitting remote to purchase stuff. The internet fuelled this consumerism. The advent of Instagram propelled it further with those chic dressed model looking bloggers posing at the best of places. But the fallout was that fashion changed overnight thus the drive to be in-trend always led to further purchases. Who gained in all this - of course the brands who manufactured these. Who lost in this - None but our only home, EARTH.

Currently , it is the season of sale. Its raining discounts everywhere enticing us to shop till be drop.

I honestly feel, so many times, we buy things on sale just because of the price it is offered at. Whereas most likely we were not in the need of it at all. To produce just a t shirt n a pair of jeans.. Approx 20000 litres of water is needed.. Imagine!! What a big burden on our ecosytem. Companies produce because there are buyers and they earn huge profits.. So huge we cant even imagine. The Bangladesh tragedy had revealed it all.. How brands who charge tens of thousands of dollars pay peanuts to their workers..;

I truely feel that we can contribute by just stopping n thinking for a second before buying.. After all we have just one earth to live on.. And future generations would not forgive us for this thriftiness.

I know.. In todays age we cannot escape shopping. It is no more a luxury but has become a necessity.. But our aim should be to cut down the unnecessary portion.. Like for eg, u hv a saree which u cannot repeat now (social pressure), then get it converted to a gown. Same fabric, same resource yet no more burden on eco system.

The whole point of minimalism is not to be swayed away. We of course cant roam in leaves. Kapde to chahiye hi..

You have to decide for urself how much suffices- 10,100 or 1000

We should always remember, money is ours but resources are not.;

Chennai is soon to be ground zero.. By 2040, most indian cities would be. And we wud be most likely alive to see that.

What is ur take on this. You are an impulsive buyer or someone who stops n thinks before buying ?

Thanks for stopping by,

Absolutely @5f8b3e3f43e4090046317c11 why to even reach the thought of recycle when there is no need of it at all
