Dehydration headaches! haven’t come across this term before?
Dehydration headaches are nothing but the headaches caused when the body is dehydrated and the brain shrinks causing pressure on the nerves. This is one of the most commonly seen headaches experienced by every individual in their life. Although this headache is easy to treat but is best when prevented.
To prevent dehydration headaches:
- Keeping a good fluid intake is the best way to prevent headaches caused by dehydration. Sip in plenty of water, fresh juices, and other fluids to maintain an electrolyte balance and prevent dehydration.
- Make sure you compensate for the water loss you experience during exercises or any other physical activity by increasing your water intake.
- Avoid staying out in the sun for long hours to prevent excessive dehydration caused by the sun’s heat.
- Do not wait for your body to give you signals of dehydration in the form of headaches, tiredness, or thirst. Keep sipping in water and other fluids even before you feel thirsty.
