Did you just see those two pinkys in the morning?? Then.. Congratulate yourself!! You are pregnant!!!
Yay!! But but but...how many days? How many weeks? How many months?
Before counting your pregnancy, few things to know:
1. LMP Last menstrual period. 2. Ovulation when a mature egg is released from the ovary, pushed down the fallopian tube, and is made available to be fertilized. 3. Conception Conceiving pregnancy, fertilization.
❤ Ovulation happens 2 weeks after first day of your last period, but you can't find the exact date of Ovulation, so can't say when exactly you conceived. That's why, Doctors usually counts your pregnancy from the first day of your LMP.
❤Which means, the first day of your LMP counts as day one of your pregnancy. You can find out your estimated due date according to that.
❤Although this due date may not be correct if you have irregular periods.
💞Calculating in weeks:
* There are two weeks in between your Last menstrual period to Ovulation, which are the first 2 weeks of your pregnancy.
*As woman get her period she is preparing for pregnancy by realising the old egg.
* By this, when you missed your periods for the coming month, you might be 4 weeks pregnant that day.
*Now you can calculate rest of the weeks.
*Though the actual timing of delivery cannot be known, ultrasound would be the best thing to know!!
💞Calculating in Months: *Each month on the calendar has 30 or 31 days on average. So each month is made up of an average of 4.36 weeks, NOT 4 weeks to be exact.
*So at 30 weeks, you are about 6.9 months...not COMPLETELY 7 months yet. *The simple math goes like this. 4-8 wks= 1mth 9-12wks= 2mths 13-16wks= 3mths 17-21wks= 4mths 22-25wks= 5mths 26-29wks= 6mths 30-34wks= 7mths 35-39wks= 8mths 40wks= 9mths
💞 Trimesters
*These are the developmental stages of pregnancy.
*Each Trimester contains 3 months of pregnancy.
* Here are those, A. Trimester by months: 1-3months = 1st Trimester 4-6 months = 2nd Trimester 7-9 months = 3rd Trimester
B. Trimester by week's:
12th week of pregnancy marks the first trimester. The second trimester is weeks 13 to 27. Third trimester starts about 28 weeks and lasts until birth. Pregnancy can go on till the 40th week.
As everyone has different fertilization window, you will have different due dates, even though the same LMP.
