Diwali brings such a joy and happiness all around. Markets and streets...people and places...all seems to be enjoying the preparation of Diwali festival.
I celebrated Diwali when I was pregnant and a number of suggestions were poured on me... Don't do this....don't do that.... N it's all for my n may baby's good...no doubt!
But I decided to enjoy Diwali in "My way". I want to share some ideas with all preggy mums of bbc family
✨ Start your day with good breakfast. Keep eating and drinking after every 2 to 3 hours. Yes... Have a sweet for first half of day ( complete no to this if you have gestational diabetes)
✨ Help other people of house in packing gifts or making batti of diyas or selection of clothes jewelry but don't make yourself tired. Keep taking small walks inside house and keep changing position.
✨ Allow your self to deck up in best of jewellery and a "cotton" saree or suit ( synthetic clothes aren't safe as they can catch fire easily)
✨ Help to put up light on the railings ( if you feel comfortable). Don't try to put lights on a height above you.
✨Make calls on your family's behalf to wish them a happy Diwali
✨Gently slowly peel and cut veggies to help the person in kitchen.
✨Make laddos while resting on ur bed.
✨ Don't fire any cracker and stay indoors to prevent yourself and your baby from loud noises.
✨ Have a ball dance with your partner with some fragnance diyas around
✨ Sit on a chair while doing Pooja. God understands well that you r pregnant and can't sit on floor for long.
✨ Last but not the least....click pictures selfies... And stay happy... It's ur baby's first Diwali which s/he must be enjoying safely inside you.
🎉 Don't overstress yourself. You know when to stop and rest.
🎉Keep eating healthy food. No munching pls.
🎉Eat sweets with less sugar. Once that day , after asking your gynae
🎉 ENJOY!!! ITS DIWALI
🎇🎆 HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL🎆🎆

I just love Diwali..has been my favorite festival since childhood..such a helpful post.. reading this I recalled my pregnancy time... I had to do lots of office work during Diwali as was in Branding so that time was super busy and also my in laws we're at my place for the festival and I did lot of work at home too.. cooking, cleaning, decorations, Pooja preparations etc couldn't enjoy a bit..had got fever due to stress and my gynaecologist scolded me.... literally one should take care of ones health specially during pregnancy..
