Diwali party at my son's school. My usually co-operative elder son threw a HUGE tantrum and refused to wear his traditional outfit. His argument was - 1) It wasn't pants and shirt 2) It was a dhoti. I sat to argue with him that pink doesn't mean girl and he wears pant shirt everyday why couldn't he wear something different? But noooo....
How do I undo the effects of peer pressure which I know is unavoidable but I'm shocked it has started so early.
The conclusion was that he ran off with a kurta and pants and a looonnnggg face. Sigh!
