DIY activity for Kids :
COVID brought an era unseen for most of us and as much as it was stressful for us adults it was more stressful 😖 for kids... Being lockup indoors was not something they even dreamt of... With no school and sudden extra screen exposure it was difficult to pry my 7year old to channel his inner talents for his betterment and that's when I came up with these cool DIY tricks to lure my son away from the phone.
My son is passionate about three things

👉 Cooking

👉 Gardening

👉 Playing a musical instrument
I kept him engaged by

1) Cook-It-Up: Take left over ingredients /extra ingredients that is lying in the fridge/homd or if you cooking some veggies, beans etc boil some extra. Give them to your kids to come up with a salad dish, sandwich 🍔 or if they big enough cook it up with some condiment. They come up with the best tasting dishes that keep you finger licking. Not only that I used to give my son different shapes of cookie cutter and he used to make nice sandwich or salad presentation...
2) See-it-Bloom : Everytime you use Milk Carton, Yoghurt or cheese containers clean it well and save it for reuse... You can then make a few small holes at the bottom of these containers. I used to give my son gardening gloves, mud, small gardening hand shovel and some mud along with flowering sapling and he used to plant 🌱 them in these containers. It helped him to learn the value of recycle and reuse.
3. Do-Re-Me : Exactly what it means tell the child to think of a beat and collect any hollow container/vessels he can find of any material... It could even be different size glasses and with the help of a hand held stick or xylophone stick play a beat or a music of your choice... It's fun as they enjoying banging to glory 🤩🤩🤩
