Do we need to apply any antiseptic cream on stitches of c section?

yes it is a fusidic acid cream as I explained you earlier it is an antifungal and as explained it is given by many doctors to prevent infection because there is regular sweating and the area is always closed hence there any chances of an infection I will advise you to apply this cream for 20 days and do not worry after 20 days see your gynecologist for a review and then you can stop the cream

My doctor asked me to use Sofinox cream..I was just thinking for how many days I need to apply..And few people says no need to apply anything on stitches and few days need to apply ..So was confused

Some doctors suggest betadine povidone iodine solution and some suggest tube for 7 days usually an antifungal is also given with the normal tube so I will advise you to speak to your gynecologist because she has taken the stitches and knows the condition from the start because in order to prescribe you any medication we need to see the area first if it is too dry then antifungal will be advised some doctors take a more natural route of applying pure coconut oil after 15 days to reduce the stretching skin and prevent drying but you will need to speak to your gynecologist do not worry
