thank you all for your valuable suggestions. even my parents advised me not to feed him unless he ask. I was worried that he would never demand fr feed n it would affect his growth. I will gradually stop firce feeding. I wish it shouldn't compromise his weight. thanks again

my pediatrician had told me some golden rules of weaning , and some do's and dont's , few things like, when ever u offer him food , talk to him , and let him see and smell the food, let him explore it, if you let him try eating by himself, check his choices and prepare food to enhance his taste, never force feed baby , as they will have habit of running from food . try some fun while giving him food, eat in front of him, and make him sit next to you when all ate eating and give him a plate decorated with fruits, there are other fun utensils available to atttact baby for food..

yes absoutly. a baby who is force fed is very diffrent than a baby who is an independent eater. a force fed baby will never be able to tell u when he is hungry.. will stay away food..as he may have developed a aversiom to food. the thought of food itself causee the child to run away.
