1. Milk teeth roots have the permanent tooth bud beneath them, hence any infection in the milk tooth can affect the permanent tooth in its calcification process.
2. Milk teeth serve as a guide for permanent teeth to erupt. Hence if milk teeth are extracted early , then there is loss of space and permanent teeth do not erupt at the right place resulting in crowding.
3. Milk teeth especially front teeth act as a guide in developing speech and phonetics of your child. 4. Make sure you teach the correct way to brush n rinse to your child. 5. assist your little ones to brush till the age of 6. 6. If your kid is on dental braces you must always check for any food lodgment , make sure the brackets are not breaking quite often it delays the time of treatment. 7. During puberty your daughters can have red swollen gums n bad smell also consider it to be a part of puberty donot panic, continue to keep good oral health. 8. If your kids are in to sports make sure you talk to your dentist and get a mouth gaurd made to protect them from hurting there teeth. 9. if your child has any oral habit like mouth breathing nail biting thumb sucking tounge thrusting pencil chewing grinding teeth, your family and you can deal with it with patients and care.
10. prevention of dental problems is more in your hands. you are the first doctor to your family, keep opening your childs mouth and have a look what's cooking inside, donot wait for the pain to take action, make it a routine to visit your family dentist every 6 monthly.
