Does your child need you to sleep with him or her? I'm trying to teach my child to sleep on his own. He needs mom and papa with him. It's reducing my precious me time. What do you mommies do?

My son also needs me more than my husband . Go with the flow; @616d0591b34e550013eb9a72 . The more u try to push them into doing something they aren't ready for the more clingy they get . Give it time . Once asleep u can probably shift ur son to his bed . He might get up in the night and come back . This might happen a few nights soon he will get used to it and sleep in his bed only.; All the best

Priya we definitely want our kids to grow up soon but I believe that putting to bed is the most ideal time that you can spend quality time with your child so it is very important that you spend that 10 minutes with your child and let the child sleep next to you co sleep in the initial days it really helps them to build up that emotional quotient which is very important for life. The brain and the heart never sleeps so before sleeping whatever quality time you spend with your child is ideal to read good stories to them because the subconscious mind wanders upon them and the child can have a sound sleep

priya - kids require tuck in time with one parent till they are 5 yrs old. I know and agree it eats up me time for sure. U can get him to browse thru his fav books while u read ur own book. Tell him reyu is a big boy now so both of u can read ur own books. Might help.
