Yes, all autistic kids are different and show different signs. But something's remains similar. For example
1. No eye contact
2. no response to name
3. no socializing;
4. excess toe walking
5. excess spinning
6. using gestures to get things
7. fascination with wheels of toy cars or fans, any rotating object
8. anxiety and agitation
9. lack of communication / not initiating conversation;
10. no peer interaction;
11. difficulty in depth perception - scared of heights or of sitting on potty seat due to the gap
12. gross motor skill delay - delay in walking, balance issues.;
13. sensory issues - doesn't like stuffed toys, blankets, clay, sand, certain food, combing, haircuts, tags in clothes
14. had trouble is expressive (spoken) language and receptive (understanding) language. Cannot follow simple 2 or 3 step commands.;
15. cant throw ball
16. aggressive violent behavior because of lack of communication.;
17. Lining up of toys or a number of similar objects.
Above are the red flags. Please visit a developmental pediatrician if you see more than 2 or 3 of these in your kids. It's okay. The world may seem to fall apart, but the kid needs help. And slowly if you start early, things will fall back in place too!;
