Every time we welcome a new-born into a family, people often advise us to use cotton clothing on them. Be it the nappies, the clothing, the bedsheet, the blanket, we even use the softest swaddle cloth! But why cotton? Because it’s the softest, breathable and the most suitable fabric for the new-born’s soft and sensitive skin.
But how many of us know, that the cotton used to make these products are treated with chemical fertilizers, and a lot of chemical dyes are used in the making these clothes which can actually cause rashes. The solution? Organic cotton!
Organic cotton is made using natural fertilizers and absolutely no chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Therefore, this kind of cotton is the best for your baby. More comfortable than anything else!
I had the opportunity to attend the launch of @tinytwigorganic in India and I must say that it was a very insightful session. I got to learn what organic cotton clothing is all about, GOTS certification and safety measures taken. I even got to check out their collection and I must say that I am super impressed!
I just loved the colours and the hues, their clothes are fashionable, appealing, sustainable and organic all at the same time! Their zipsuits with the zipper running from the shoulder to the bottom, to avoid getting hurt, are really unique!
We got to attend a very entertaining session by @tarotforushambhavi about colour therapy, the power of colours and how they define our personality.
We also got a tour of @vivero_international school, Powai and I was amazed at all the little detailing that has gone into providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for kids to help the process of learning. The arrangement of activities, structures and the aesthetics of the classrooms were very inviting.
A big thank you to the @mybabychakra team for organising this! The babychakra app was always my go-to destination for all queries as a new parent, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Kudos to you guys!
