hi seema. thanks for your response. i have breastfed her totally..periods havent started however she is not 6 plus. i will start giving her top feed once a day. should my periods resume now?

Exclusive Breastfeeding can be an effective contraceptive only: - if you breastfeed on demand through out day and night every 3-4 hours. - Your periods have not started. - Your baby is under 6 months. However just like any other contraceptives this is not a full proof method.

I don't think so, I have seen few ladies who conceived when they were breastfeeding.. they had to wean off the older child due to their pregnancy when the child was to be breastfed exclusively. However, an expert would definitely be able to answer better.
