Flange - it’s a great word! Does yours fit well? A poorly fitting pump can make for a frustrating experience
・・・
Question: What is one of the first things you should access if pumping output is not going well? Answer: FLANGE FIT! Think of the flange like a shoe. It shouldn't be too tight (crunched toes!). It shouldn't be too loose (blisters, OUCH!). It should be snug, holding the foot well and supporting it to do its job (get us from point A to point B). Flange fit is similar. Not too big, not too small, but snuggly, like a shoe. A poor flange fit can impact:
🔹 Comfort
🔹 Pumping output
🔹 Milk supply (low removal = low supply)
🔹 Pumping efficiency (ideally, it takes 10-15 min to remove the milk you need in a session)
🔹 Recurrent clogs (inefficient removal can = clogs) If you need a flange fitting, reach out to a professional! It can be a GAME CHANGER!! How has the right flange fit impacted your pumping journey? #flangefit ;#pumpingbreastmilk;#pumpingmom;#exclusivepumper
