#FoodHack for expecting moms, tired moms and childoos!! Hey everyone! I've been reading a lot of posts about how no one feels like eating anything in the summer! My building dog Julie is refusing food during the day; I myself have been gorging on watermelon and more watermelon. So I thought of doing something different to beat the heat.
Pulse Salad: The recipe is super simple - boil the chanas (can be any pulse!) - toss in boiled potatoes, raw onions, tomatoes (we skipped as #thenineyearold isn't too fond of raw tomatoes!), fresh coriander and all that jazz (anything you want to!). Expecting moms, pls be sure to squeeze fresh lemon - not only on this, but on EVERYTHING YOU EAT! Why? Vitamin C helps absorb iron so that will surely help!! It's got protein & carbs so enjoy! New nursing moms, chana may not be advisable for you so you can try it with sprouted moong! #thenineyearold is super happy and says hi amongst her chomp chomp :) Pls share your summer #foodhacks as well! In summers, we increase our fruits intakes along with buttermilk, different types of raita, shakes, smoothies... Asha, salad looks yummy.. You can add the boiled sweet corns along with kala channa...
