Foods that help ease burning micturition/Urination problems.
Coming to the foods which can treat mild urinary tract infections. Barely water:
Barely is a good diuretic. It helps to ease burning urination by causing frequent urination. You can take a tsp or two of barley seeds with 3/4th part of the water in a vessel. Boil it untill fully cooked. Strain the water and have it about 2 to 3 glasses a day untill the symptoms reduce. Bottle Gourd juice:
They are very cooling as it contains more content of the water, has dietary fibres and nutrients like vitamin C and zinc. You can boil a few pieces of it in coconut milk. Add a bit of jaggery with a pinch of cardamom. Enjoy this cooling and tasty drink which also reduces the burning sensation in the urine. Milk infused with coriander seeds:
Coriander seeds are very replenishing and their combination with milk makes it a must-try. Boil a glass of milk with 1/2 tsp of coriander powder or crushed seeds. Add a pinch of cumin powder, turmeric and sugar. You can have this refreshing drink either in the mid-morning or in the evenings. Sabja seeds/falooda seeds:
These seeds are very good to combat the heat in the body. Soak a tsp of it in water. Keep it overnight. Drink this in the morning on empty stomach. You can also take these with lemon juice. Lemon juice though acidic, when mixed with water, turns alkaline and helps to reduce the acidic urine. Cranberries:
Cranberries are very good to cure UTI's. It has the power to reduce the bacterial infiltration in the bladder thus easing the symptoms. It's good if you get these fresh and prepare a homemade juice out of them. Avoid the packed ones as they are loaded with sugar. Prunes:
Prunes are very good to alleviate the constipation problem. A small amount of urine passes when you strain to pass the hard stools, this leads to more loss of water giving rise to urine infection. Having half a glass of prune juice or eating 1 or 2 prunes in number is a solution for both problems. Other drinks like buttermilk are full of good bacteria, probiotics and Coconut water which are filled with electrolytes helps to combat the heat production in the body. Incorporate these foods into your daily food regimen and get the benefits.
