Frnds my baby is 3 n half months old.... His weight is normal. . But doctor told to start ragi or semi solid from 4 n half months. I thought to breastfeed till 6months. Hearing dis my family telling to start as doctor saying. Am confused, pls help me.

The recommendation of the WHO is six months provided the baby is developing and growing as per standards. If that is not the case then all efforts must be made to understand why milk supply is not proving adequate. In some cases even the mom has certain personal reasons for wanting to start solids. If baby is growing well as per the growth chart then it is suggested that exclusive breast feeding continue till six months.

If you have no problem breastfeeding, you should continue it. Baby will get the benefits in the long term...

if doctor saying to gv Ragi u can gv it along wd breed... till 6 months. n still if u r nt agree consult one more doctor
